Eduard Fastovski wearing a kimono

Hi, I'm Ed.

Web marketer and developer

I help Japanese small businesses reach English-speaking customers.

Websites, SEO and AIO, and content writing by a native English speaker from Australia.

What I can help with

These are the things I can help with. They suit restaurants, ryokan and hotels, tours and attractions, craft brands, online stores and local organisations.

English translation and copywriting

I rewrite your website in natural English, so it reads like a native speaker wrote it. Menus, product pages and booking information, as well as your story: your history, your craft and what makes your company special.

International SEO and AIO

Get found by people searching in English, on Google and in AI tools. English keyword research, hreflang setup for Japanese/English sites, and AIO: getting your business mentioned by ChatGPT and in Google's AI Overviews.

Fast bilingual websites

For businesses that don't sell online, like restaurants, guesthouses and tour companies, I build Japanese/English websites with Astro. They load fast, cost little to run and are easy to update. If you already have a site on WordPress, Wix or another platform, I can work with that too.

Shopify development and consulting

I've worked as a Shopify developer and consultant for over 8 years. New stores, theme customisation and updates, SEO and AIO, and setting your store up to sell overseas in English, with local currencies and shipping. Ongoing support is available too.

Inbound Tourism Marketing

Travellers research where to go on Google, Google Maps, Reddit and blogs before they arrive. I make sure your business shows up there in English, with the information they need to choose you.

English articles and video strategy

I write blog posts and travel guides in English, the same work I do on my own blog. For video, I advise on which videos to make and how to title them so they get found on YouTube and Google.

AI and automation

I use n8n and AI to automate the repetitive parts of your business.

Start with an English website review

Not sure where to start? Send me your current English website. I'll go through it as a native speaker and send you a written list of what reads wrong, and where overseas customers might get confused.

Send me your site

Small jobs are welcome, even a single menu or one page. I'm also happy to help local community groups and non-profits.

About me

I'm Eduard Fastovski, a web developer and content creator from Sydney, Australia. I've been building websites since 2013, and for the last 8+ years I've worked as a Shopify developer and consultant. I can also work with WordPress, Wix and most other platforms.

On my YouTube channel, Ed Codes, I teach online store owners the technical side of running their business. It has over 30,000 subscribers. Making articles and videos in English and getting them found on Google is my main source of income.

I used to be a digital nomad. I've lived in Belarus, Poland, and spent many months in Taiwan, Korea, and most of all in Japan.

These days I spend most of my time in between Sydney and Fukuoka. In July 2027, I'm moving to Fukuoka to study Japanese, and later I hope to settle there permanently. I want to help Japanese businesses reach customers from overseas.

I share my travels and life abroad on my second YouTube channel, edonomado, and on my blog. Outside of work I train judo, and I love spending weekends on mountains and beaches.

Get in touch

Email me with what you need. I'll reply within 2 business days.

You can write in Japanese. I'll read it with a translation tool and reply in English or simple Japanese.

If you know a business that wants to reach English-speaking customers, I would be grateful if you shared this page with them.
